Cocktail Parties 

 

The Sandringham Club dining room can be cleared to cater for cocktail party groups from 40 to 120 in size.  The neutral decor and dimmable lighting will help to work in with a desired theme, or specific decorative pieces that you may like to include.

Seated Banquet Functions 

 

The Club dining room has the versatility to seat groups between 30 and 90 in size.  Round tables are best suited to 8 of our dining chairs for comfort but can be made to accommodate tables of 9 or 10 if necessary.

Spit Roast Buffets 

 

A very popular form of catering for family gatherings and social club events.  The spit roasted meat is served from a central buffet,  with your selected accompaniments and sauces.  Guests are able to select their prefered combinations, as they approach a table at a time.

Corporate Groups, Meetings & Seminars

 

The Sandringham Club is private and very light with Members activities throughout the working week days.  It is a perfect venue for corporate meetings, team building events and product launches.  With whiteboard, in house sound system and a plasma with PC link-up capabilities, your functions can be professionally presented in a private setting with a difference.  The newly refurbished Board Room can sit eight delegates around a large natural timber table with abundant natural light and provision for total privacy.

Recent Events


Cocktail Parties

 

The Main Function Room is the Club Dining Room, which can host up to 120 people. By strategically arranging furniture and placing the dance floor in different places, the same room can look as vibrant with groups of 50 to 60.  The central bar can comfortably cope with large groups and the adjacent veranda is easy to see through large floor to ceiling windows. 

  

Take Matt & Emily's lead and add your splash of colour to personalise the room to suit your event. 


The venue offers a dance floor, a plasma screen with DVD player, ceiling speakers with radio microphone and ability to play iPOD or MP3 devices are all included within a modest room hire charge.  DJ's or musical performers can be arranged privately, or karaoke machines, jukeboxes, photo booths and the like to suit the individual needs of each occasion.

With a five hour function duration, evening parties regularly begin at 7pm, with last drinks to be served by 12am.  Being a responsible neighbour to nearby residences, The Sandringham Club asks that function guests be respectful of the local area when leaving the venue.

 

Seated Baquets

 

The Dining Room can fit up to nine 6ft round tables, each able to sit 8 to 10 people as required.  The versitility of the room and positioning of tables can make groups starting at 40 extending up to 90 feel equally as comfortable.  With less tables, the room can be set with dance floor and band area, perfectly suited to Dinner Dances or Wedding Receptions.  Fund-Raiser activites or Presentation Dinners are also well suited and have been consistently used by local sporting teams for a number of events.

The Oaks Day Ladies function above is a yearly event arranged by Sue McDowall promoting cancer awareness and a sizeable donation for ongoing research.


Family celebrations are a specialty and when the table configuration allows, one of the most popular catering styles is our roast carvery buffet.  Our Chef, spit-roasts succulent cuts of meat and carves to order as each table advances to the buffet area.  Similarly, many sporting groups, pressed for time, will opt for the classic steaks served right to each table.  Most popular in recent times is for the traditional plated entree to be abandoned in favour of 45 minutes of mingle time with finger food circulating instead.  This, followed by a plated main and plated dessert would be our most requested banquet service format.


Conference Rooms

 

A brand new, sun-drenched meeting/function room has been created in late 2013.  The room is equipped with in-house sound system, plasma screen TV and the ability for laptop presentations to be delivered via data projector, screen and wireless internet connection.  The Centenary Room, named for being opened in the year the Club reached 100 years of age has floor to ceiling windows that have the added advantage of being able to be opened, giving direct access onto a protected decking area.  Rather than a conference in a stuffy, energy draining, fluoro-lit classroom situation, The Centenary Room offers the climate-controlled comfort with an abundance of natural light overlooking the open space at the rear of the venue.


Private Board Room

 

The newly appointed Board Room has a natural wood table with matching arm chairs for 8 people.  With a large window at one end and a look-through glass trophy cabinet at the other, the Board Room is perfect for private discussions, with a decorative pictoral history of 100 Club years on display.  Whiteboard, wireless internet, and phone connection can be arranged to suit the requirements of each meeting.
